Volunteer with us and Beat Diabetes in Salford
Salford Healthy Communities are looking for friendly, fun loving and enthusiastic people to join our team of Diabetes Champions.
Over 20,000 people across Salford are at high risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes. We are combatting this by raising awareness in local communities and signposting high risk individuals into services to help prevent the development of diabetes.
Although Type 2 Diabetes is one of the biggest health crises facing Salford, lifestyle factors play an important part and so it is preventable – with the help of people like you.
There is an induction session on Monday 16th May 10-12. You can find more information here.
Don’t worry if you can’t make that though – there will be other opportunities to get involved.
If you work in Salford then we would like to extend an invite to attend too. We think you will find out a lot that’s useful for your colleagues and your clients.
