Job clubs

There are jobs clubs at locations across Salford where you can get help writing CVs and looking for jobs.

National Careers Service

The National Careers Service can help you choose or change career, do skills tests, search for courses and get job search advice. You can talk to their careers advisers on the phone or through Livechat.

Jobcentre Plus

Advice and support if you are out of work and looking for a job or learning or training opportunities. There are Jobcentre Plus offices across Salford with computer terminals called Jobpoints that you can use to see all current vacancies. You can also use their online service called Universal Jobmatch to find vacancies.

They also provide a Job Kit - a practical guide to applying for jobs.

Jobseeker Direct

Jobseeker Direct is a quick and easy phone service which can keep you in touch with the latest vacancies and help you find jobs that suit you, as well as advice on how to apply. Staff will send you an application form and, where possible, ring the employer and arrange an interview.

Salford Employment and Recuitment City Hub (SEARCH) is an employment service which supports Salford residents to apply for jobs. They can help you with the application process and also connect you to opportunities including work placements, apprenticeships, pre-employment training opportunities and jobs.

The Salford Unemployed Resource Centre in Eccles can help you to write your CV if you are looking for work.

Angel Centre

The Angel Centre on Chapel Street runs weekly career search sessions, which include help with CV writing and online job searches. Sessions run Mondays and Thursdays 1pm-3pm.
